Trucks Begin Loading Petrol at Dangote Refinery

Dangote Refinery announced that the first trucks have started loading petrol at their facility. This marks the beginning of locally produced petrol being loaded in Nigeria for the first time in years. The refinery shared the news on their official X account with a video of the trucks at work.

Over 300 trucks arrived at the refinery recently to pick up the petrol. This milestone represents a significant step for the Nigerian oil industry, reflecting progress in local production and distribution.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) addressed claims of delaying the Dangote refinery’s operations, stating they have been supportive. They clarified that any delays were due to standard business terms and conditions that needed to be met before the petrol could be loaded.
