The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of an eight-month-pregnant woman who allegedly leads an oil bunkering syndicate. She was apprehended along with her husband and six other accomplices for their involvement in tampering with and stealing from an oil pipeline.
At a news conference in Abuja, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that this arrest is part of the IGP’s special task force initiative aimed at combating oil theft. The police have been actively working with the Nigerian Navy and are set to receive twenty additional boats to enhance their marine unit’s operations.
Furthermore, the IGP has instructed all tactical units to ensure swift prosecution of suspects and the seizure of stolen goods, reinforcing the police’s commitment to tackling oil theft and illegal activities.
