The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested ex-convict Omowaye Ayodele and two others, Ojo Temidayo and Busari Lookman, for killing and kidnapping Point of Sale (PoS) operators in Ado Ekiti.
Commissioner of Police Adeniran Akinwale stated that Ayodele and his gang confessed to robbing and killing Aina Adeyemi near the Federal Polytechnic Satellite Campus. Ayodele admitted to multiple PoS robberies in Ado Ekiti, and Lookman confessed to shooting Adeyemi and stealing N155,000. The suspects are under investigation and will be arraigned soon.
Ayodele, who finished a jail term in May 2024, was also involved in the kidnapping and killing of a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Femi Olaofe.
