More than 100 individuals are set to file a lawsuit against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming rape, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation, as announced by Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee on Tuesday. “This is a significant case that we will pursue with vigor,” Buzbee stated, emphasizing a thorough investigation into all potentially responsible parties, including individuals and organizations that may have enabled or profited from these serious allegations.
This lawsuit adds to the mounting legal troubles for Combs, who was indicted last month on three criminal charges related to allegations of sexual abuse and coercing women into drug-fueled sex parties through intimidation and violence.
The accusations against Combs have intensified since last year, when singer Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, alleged that she endured over a decade of coercive control, including physical force and drugs, culminating in a reported rape in 2018. Recent lawsuits paint Combs as a violent figure who exploited his celebrity status to target vulnerable women.
Despite these serious claims, Combs has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges and is currently in custody awaiting trial.
