Shalom Adesina, who achieved the highest marks in the 2023 May/June West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams, has been honored with a N1 million award from Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq. The presentation took place on Wednesday, August 7, at the Ministry of Education’s conference hall in Ilorin.
Adesina, a student from Rehoboth College in Pipeline, earned distinctions in all his WAEC subjects, a feat that earned him this significant recognition. Governor AbdulRazaq expressed that the initiative is designed to support and encourage exceptional students like Adesina, aiming to bolster their academic journey and inspire others.
The award was publicly announced by Peter Amogbonjaye, Press Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, via the Kwara State Ministry of Communications’ X handle.
