On Sunday, Kellyrae was named the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 9, taking home a grand prize of N60 million, an SUV, and additional rewards. He outperformed fellow housemate Wanni, who finished as the runner-up, and Onyeka, who took third place.
Kellyrae joins the ranks of last season’s winner, Ilebaye Odiniya (Gen Z Baddie), in securing the grand prize.
This season, themed “No Loose Guard,” premiered on July 24, 2024, featuring 14 pairs of housemates. Ultimately, only one pair and six individual contestants reached the finals. The other finalists included Victoria, Ozee, Sooj, Nelly, and Anita. This year introduced a unique twist, requiring contestants to apply in pairs.
Among the eight finalists, Kellyrae, Victoria, and Wanni were viewed as favorites to secure top spots. The finale showcased a star-studded lineup, with performances by popular artists Joeboy and Qing Madi.
