Day 2 Protests: Lagos Faces Gradual Business Resumption

Commercial activities gradually resumed in Lagos on Friday, the second day of #EndBadGovernance protests. The protests began on Thursday at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota, leading to road closures and business shutdowns. Despite fears, the demonstrations were peaceful under the watch of armed security personnel.

According to reports, public buses operated, but many banks, eateries, and fuel stations remained closed. Markets started to reopen, with security patrols at key locations like Ikotun and Egbeda.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu praised the peaceful protests and urged continued calm, highlighting the Federal Government’s efforts to address economic issues. He commended the professional conduct of security agencies and assured residents of their safety, encouraging them to resume normal activities.
