Kylian Mbappe has refused an offer from the French football league (LFP) to mediate in his dispute with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over unpaid wages and bonuses. Mbappe claims PSG owes him 55 million euros, which includes a signing bonus, three months’ salary, and an “ethical bonus.” PSG, however, argues that Mbappe agreed to waive this amount in August 2023.
Despite a meeting between the lawyers of both parties, Mbappe’s representatives declined the mediation offer, stating that the unpaid amounts are clearly visible on his payslip and mediation would be unnecessary. The LFP will announce its ruling on the case by Friday.
PSG welcomed the idea of mediation, saying they have been seeking it for months. They emphasized that Mbappe had made commitments that should be respected after receiving significant benefits during his time with the club.
